Talk title: Prefrontal-striatal interactions in social learning, and beyond
Abstract: In the part of my talk, I will present our recent work examining the role of prefrontal neurons that project to the nucleus accumbens in social learning. I will also show some new data on how these neurons may represent social stimuli differently from other prefrontal neural populations. In the second part of my talk, I will present unpublished data on the role of prefrontal neurons that project to the nucleus accumbens in drug seeking, and examine how their properties change in animals with greater drug motivation.
