Biographical information

Fernando received his B.S. in Bioengineering in University of Concepcion in Chile. He pursued his PhD at University of Concepcion, Chile under the supervision of Dr. Brigitte van Zudnert and Dr. Martin Montecino. He studied the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate the expression of the main synaptic scaffolding protein PSD95 and its role in dendritogenesis and memory formation.
