Eleana MacPhail, Program Administrator

Eleana MacPhail joined the Simons Center for the Social Brain at its inception in 2012, having previously served as Senior Administrative Assistant to the Department Head of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT since 2009. Before joining MIT, Eleana worked in various capacities in the hospitality industry and as a Client Report Analyst at Putnam Investments. She graduated with a B.S. in Sociology and completed a certificate degree in Criminal Justice from Suffolk University.

As Program Administrator at the Simons Center for the Social Brain, Eleana serves as the primary contact for all center related activities and initiatives. She coordinates center events, communications, oversees the targeted projects, as well as the funding application process for seed grants and postdoctoral fellowships. Eleana is the Coordinator for the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), serves as the Administrative Supervisor for SCSB space, and manages the development and stewardship of the center. Eleana also performs various other administrative duties that support the daily operations of the center.
